Regulation for the Operation of Forklift Trucks

For the operation of forklift trucks the following regulations must be adhered to.

We have to differentiate between running the trucks inside building - and operation on public roads.

• • Running trucks inside buildings or on private property.

OSHA Safety Rules and Regulations - ANSI Capacity and Safety Regulations - as well as special regulations for operating forklift trucks under spark proof and explosion proof conditions.

• • Operating forklift trucks on public roads.

The same OSHA and ANSI Rules and Regulations apply. In addition the forklift truck must have a Motor Vehicle License and the driver must have a valid drivers license.
